And I would support anyone who does that but, why is society so dependant on what others think about them? For many gay people, especially those subjected to the horrors of conversion torture known as conversion therapy, your powerful words and imagery in Holding On To You can be either life-saving or terrifying. Holding onto you could be the theme song of conversion therapy. Which is terrifying, because it is a lie masquerading as love, and because it can lead to isolation, suffering, self-loathing, and death.
