He could build just about anything and with the help of his old friends, Harold and Ronnie, created their getaway on the Tobique River.

He was a dedicated member of our local ski hill, Poley Mountain, until he finally hung up his skis a few short years ago. Ron always lived in Saint John and the Kennebecasis Valley, but his true home was built by his own hand on the Long Reach. He took great joy in sailing with Gay up river and back "down to the cove and home on the beach. Ron was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Janice McLaughlin; and his grandaughter, Shekinah Wilson.
