The Cincinnati Pride Festival is a family-friendly, fun event that takes place at Sawyer Point Park on the fourth Saturday in June.
This year's date is Saturday, June 28, Parades, educational events and parties will take place across Greater Cincinnati throughout the month of June, all celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and its ongoing fight for equal rights.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) -Thousands of people gathered downtown Saturday to celebrate Cincinnati’s Pride parade and festival. This is the 52nd anniversary of the first Pride parade in the city. Inspired by the ASM exhibit Glow & Behold: Cincinnati’s Historic LGBTQ+ Bar Signs, the festivities include music from DJ Boywife and MUSE, dancing, a champagne toast, appetizers and desserts, a cash bar, local celebrity appearences and performances, and a vow renewal ceremony officiated by Jim Obergefell.
Pride Month is almost here. The occasion originated in in honor of the first anniversary of the Stonewall Riots , a series of protests that took place when police raided The Stonewall Inn, a gay bar in Greenwich Village, New York City, on June 28, , attempting to arrest those inside. Pride Month occurs annually during the month of June. This year, it is Sunday, June 1, through Monday, June Cincinnati's Pride festival and parade take place Saturday, June 28, in Downtown.
However, there are events all throughout the month. The event was covered only by the Independent Eye , an underground city newspaper, which reported on 75 people walking from Washington Park to Fountain Square for the parade. At the Square speeches and skits were presented to a crowd of about The Queen City's Pride movement grew steadily into the late 80s, garnering a presence across the region.
