After 10 months, I'm finally remaking this list! Please, consider watching any of the animes I mention here if you haven't, or maybe take this list as a sort of recommendation post ^^ Just anime, and anime is NOT including donghua (sorry mdzs). Riku & Takeru (Prince of Stride) it's a sports anime, what ya expect?
Athrun & Kira (Gundam SEED). When i look for something new to watch, i actively seek out books, movies and tv shows with gay ships (be it canon or not!) in them as i know i will be more likely to enjoy them.
Here are The 15 Coolest LGBT Couples In Anime. Haruka & Michiru - Sailor Moon. We have to start with this classic pairing. For U.S. audiences, Haruka Tenou (Sailor Uranus) and Michiru Kaiou (Sailor Neptune) weren’t together. The official English dub of Sailor Moon completely changed their relationship and made them cousins.
From heartwarming romances to epic adventures, these anime pairs have navigated the tides of love and friendship, leaving an indelible mark on the anime community. It has taken anime a long time to move away from problematic tropes, but some iconic couples are a major reason why so much progress has been made. BL anime - also referred to as boys love or yaoi - is a niche anime genre that focuses on the romantic relationships between male characters.
It often has tropes that are unique to the medium - including things like massive age gaps and power differentials that may not appeal to all readers. While BL, boys love, and yaoi anime aren't for everyone, they garnered a huge following for a reason. But who are the best BL anime couples? That's up to you. From classics like Gravitation to new shows like Hitorijime My Hero, there are plenty of great BL anime with great couples that are worth rooting for.
A few of these couples come from anime with contested designations. Some people would call Yuri on ICE!!! Other people think it isn't BL because it doesn't adhere to certain BL tropes. Depending on your take on the issue, you might feel that some of these pairings don't belong on this list. If so, take their presence as another opportunity to celebrate an awesome couple. Both because of their obvious affection for one another and because of their support for each other's professional and personal goals, they're one of the most wholesome gay couples in all of anime.
When Yuri Katsuki puts on an embarrassingly terrible skating performance, he sinks into a depression and nearly gives up his career. When Victor Nikiforov, a Russian skater who Yuri idolizes, sees a videotape of Yuri skating, he decides to personally prepare him for the next Grand Prix. Over the course of their training, the two begin falling in love.
What's great is that Victor doesn't just save Yuri from a failed career - Yuri also saves Victor from a lifetime of loneliness. Miyano loves reading BL manga, but he isn't interested in a real life gay experience Miyano expects Sasaki to mock him for his reading habits, but it turns out that Sasaki is interested in reading BL too. But he's not into it because he's a particular fan of the genre - he's into it because Miyano's into it, and he has a big goopy crush on Miyano.
Meanwhile, the more Miyano tries to deny his growing feelings for Sasaki, the harder it becomes. Xie Lian was once an all-mighty god, but now he barely holds a fraction of his old prestige and power.

When he goes to heaven, he meets Hua Cheng - an entity that is worlds above him in strength. Surrounded by fantastical elements and a mysterious mythological plot line, Xie and Hua have an epic love story that is known as one of the greatest in modern BL anime. At first, Ritsuka is more annoyed by Mafuyu than anything else.
He doesn't understand why anyone would have such a fancy guitar when they don't even know how to play it, and he doesn't have time to teach him since he's busy with his own band. But Mafuyu is persistant and Ritsuka eventually starts teaching him. He soon realizes three things: Mafuyu has a good reason for wanting to learn guitar, Mafuyu has an incredible voice and needs to be part of his band, and Ritsuka is in love with him.
Banana Fish is a BL anime in that there's a same-sex couple at the helm, but it doesn't adhere to many of the medium's tropes. Eiji is a former pole vaulter from Japan who has led a relatively carefree life except for a career-altering injury.
Ash has led a terrifying existence rife with crime. When Eiji is roped into Ash's difficult life, he refuses to give up and go home - he wants to help Ash however he can.
